Jewish Cemetery + Monument

21 September 2010
Went to Jewish Cemetery, Kubur kaum Yahudi
At komtar area.........
At Jalan Zainal Abidin...

What?! ...
Yes, this time we have to go to Jewish Cemetery to study the it and take pictures of it.
Wah!!! Last time, we have to design our casket, now have to visit cemetery... hmmm.....

In my observation, I saw that most of the tombstone has a six points star, which is called Star of David and with hands symbol, which is called Blessing with the hands.

The cemetery is taken care by the indian family. From the aunty there, she said there has 150 graves, which are belong to the soldiers, women and also kids. The graves are almost in roof shape. The oldest graves are in 1805 year and the newest graves are in 1976 year.

In 1895, the first Yahudi, Yehezkiel Menassah, was moved from Baghdad to Penang, Malaysia. After 30 years, Menassah was the only Yahudi in Penang. After 30 years, Menassah was the only Yahudi lived in Penang. Besides that, he also maintain the Yahudi festivals and the regulations of nutrition which known as Kosher (halal food in Yahudi version). After the 1st world war, more and more Yahudi moved to Malaysia. When 2nd world war, most of the Yahudi moved to Singapore. Until 1963, only 20 families stay in Malaysia. Until today, around 100 Yahudi still stay in Malaysia.

~~~~~My monument~~~~~
This is monument, HOURGLASS CLOCK....
I use hourglass clock as my monument because it will remind us that there is not much remaining time, therefore we must treasure the time.
Besides that,
I'll will write all my lifetime achievements and work and my thought on the pebbles inside.
~~~~~Characteristics and Structure of Bamboo~~~~~

Bamboo, can withstand a great deal of use without damage. It's is stronger even than oak, considered the most durable hardwood. When laminated, bamboo is nearly as strong as soft steel. Bamboo doesn't swell and shrink as hardwoods do, making it deal for furniture and floors.
